Rob Faktorow, nationally recognized as one of the premier Data Center real estate experts in the U.S., serves as CBRE's Vice Chairman and is based out of Northern Virginia—the data center capital of the world.
Having been at the forefront of the transformation of Northern Virginia’s data center growth, Rob has conceived, structured and negotiated virtually every form of data center deal. With a long history of institutional capital markets experience, Rob has completed the sale, recapitalization, or joint venture structure of more than 250 buildings with a total aggregate value in excess of $20 billion; he has sold over 5000 acres of development land and completed transactions totaling more than $50 billion in value.
Rob was an early entrant into the data center business and was a founding member of CBRE’s Data Center Solutions Group in 1997. Rob’s practice has historically included multi-disciplined expertise in both data center investment sales and end-user representation. This diverse background affords Rob an unrivaled perspective in advising clients on complex real estate decisions. Rob currently is dedicated to the data center capital markets sector, advising clients on a wide range of deal structures.
Rob has been recognized by numerous real estate organizations and local and national publications for his achievements and contributions to the real estate industry.
