Geopolitical developments continue to hamper container traffic at both the Antwerp-Bruges and Rotterdam seaport, but supply chain bottlenecks are gradually easing.
Leasing activity remained strong in the Belgium logistics market posting 1.18 million m² of take-up for the full year, only down -2.32% as compared to 2021.
Readily available space remains extremely scarce as the vacancy rate stands at only 1.51% as at the end of 2022 or 222,259 m² in warehouse space.
In 2022, investment volume into logistics and industrial assets amounted to a 787 million € turnover, a record high.
