EVS Broadcast Equipment, the global technology leader for live video production, has won the first edition of the CBRE Office Space of the Year contest which rewards companies that want to attract and retain the best talents by offering them a qualitative work environment.
CBRE Office Space of the Year is the first national contest that rewards the best workplace in Belgium.
28 applications from all over Belgium were submitted, and a professional jury of highly reputable experts from the real estate, human resources and communication sectors has selected the winners based on the pictures and the motivational speech of each contestant. The jury included Alexander Hodac (CEO, Immobel); Jean-Michel Jaspers (CEO, Jaspers-Eyers Architects); Laurence Vanhée (Chief Happiness Officer, Happy Performance); Xavier Attout (Journalist, Trends Tendances); C.A.S.H. (Visual Artist) and Maxime Kumpen (CEO, CBRE BeLux).
"It is a great reward for a company like ours where our employees are the main value.", says Muriel De Lathouwer, CEO EVS Broadcast Equipment. "Our new building brings a certain sense of well-being to our employees. It is in line with our corporate culture. We developed a new way of working which includes exchanges between collaborators. Finally, beyond the salary package and the working environment, we also offer concert tickets, profit share or a whole series of promotional activities to our employees."
In addition to granting the “Office Space of the Year” Award, the Jury dedicated six special achievement awards:
CBRE Office Space of the Year was organized by CBRE Belgium in partnership with Vitra and Trends Tendances. A second edition of the contest will be launched in early 2019 and the same initiative will be held by CBRE Luxembourg as from September 2018.

Having a modern, healthy and attractive office not only improves employee performance; it is also an efficient tool for recruiting new talents as well as retaining staff. As a property consultant, CBRE is at the heart of this trend thanks to its own workspace team“, explains Maxime Kumpen, CEO CBRE BeLux.CBRE Office Space of the Year was organized by CBRE Belgium in partnership with Vitra and Trends Tendances.
