CBRE Belgium is launching today the second edition of its Office Space of the Year competition, in partnership with Vitra. The competition aims at electing the most outstanding office space in Belgium. The 2018 edition of the competition was won by EVS Broadcast Equipment, the global technology leader for live video production.
For the second consecutive year, CBRE Belgium is organising its national Office Space of the Year competition, whose objective is to reward corporate workspaces that have distinguished themselves in various categories such as technology, well-being or hospitality. Last year, the first edition welcomed almost 30 contestants, including major names from the business world such as AXA Belgium, Deloitte, Claeys & Engels, Vlaamse Overheid and Pfizer.
Next to the Office Space of the Year award, the jury will also elect winners in each of the following categories: “Best Lobby”, “Best Healthy Office”, “Best Technology-Advanced Office”, “Best Small Office” and “Best Coworking Space”. The contestant that gets the most likes on its office pictures posted on the competition’s official Instagram page will be awarded the “Public Voting” prize, which consists of a Vitra Pantone chair personalized by an artist. The winner of the “Office Space of the Year” award will get a €10,000-worth voucher from Vitra.
A jury composed of specialists from the real estate, technology and media sectors will assess all applications and determine the winners in the various categories. AG Real Estate’s Chief Investment Officer Amaury de Crombrugghe, Profacility Magazine’s editor in chief Didier Van den Eynde, CONIX RDBM Architects’ Architect & CEO Christine Conix, EVS Broadcast Equipment's Head of Facility & Procurement Loïc Bologne and PropTech Lab Belgium’s co-founder Idriss Goossens are part of the jury panel.
Maxime Kumpen, CEO of CBRE Belgium and Luxembourg, will also act as jury member. He comments on this second edition: “Following the great number of corporate contestants in last year’s Office Space of the Year competition, organized both in Belgium and Luxembourg, we have decided to launch it again this year. Many companies have already expressed their enthusiasm for a participation in this 2019 edition, which shows that the focus on creating the best workspace possible remains high.”
The competition will run from Wednesday, March 27, 2019 to Monday, May 27, 2019. The winners will be announced on Thursday, June 13, 2019. All information about the competition can be found on https://www.bestofficespace.be, as well as on the dedicated LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram pages.
