One year after obtaining its first shopping centre management mandate with the Grand Bazar Antwerp, CBRE Belgium is now mandated to manage the Rive Gauche shopping centre, located in the heart of Charleroi.
Popular from the start
Opened on March 9, 2017 and with a total of nearly 8 million visitors per year, Rive Gauche is located on Place Verte, in the heart of Charleroi, and forms the junction between Charleroi-Sud station and the commercial city centre.
The shopping centre has 90 stores on three levels. Rive Gauche is home to major brands such as Primark, Zara, C&A and H&M. It also offers a wide range of places to eat and drink, including a Burger King restaurant.
Expanding the CBRE management portfolio
Steven Bervoets, Head of Shopping Centre Management, on acquiring the mandate for Rive Gauche: “We are delighted to start 2019 with an extension of our Shopping Centre Management portfolio. We are grateful that the owner has confined the management of their latest asset to us. Rive Gauche is a reference project and we are convinced that with our expertise we can let the inner-city shopping centre even thrive more.”
Pierre Foucart appointed Shopping Centre Manager of Rive Gauche
CBRE has appointed Pierre Foucart as Shopping Centre Manager, responsible for both the commercial as the property management hereof. In the past, Pierre has held various positions in local political cabinets.
Pierre Foucart comments on his appointment: "I am delighted to join the dynamic CBRE team in this wonderful adventure called Rive Gauche. Since its opening, the shopping centre has greatly contributed to the revitalization of the city centre, to which I have always been faithful. My aim is to make the customer experience even more pleasant, while optimizing the existing sales mix to meet our customers' expectations.”
The management of the shopping centre is carried out by CBRE's Property Management division.
