New prestiguous headquarters for Accenture in Brussels

Brussels, CB Richard Ellis has intervened as exclusive adviser in the relocation of the Accenture headquarters to the Waterloo 16 in Brussels. Accenture will occupy 4.846 m² and 119 parking units, starting from the first half of 2009.

The Waterloo 16 was entirely renovated by Conix Architects and the developer Nexity into a “new generation” building. It is characterised by its energy-efficiency, with an important number of green technologies incorporated. The building is also served by excellent public transport connections. « The challenge in this relocation was to combine the high corporate values of Accenture in a building which would be able to host 1.400 employees and clients », according to Edouard Moreels, head of Global Corporate Services at CB Richard Ellis Belgium. The building totals 11.000 m². Accenture will therefore share the building with at least one more occupant.

The building is ideally located along the Brussels inner ring road in one of Brussels most prestigious retail districts. Both during and after office hours, the district enjoys a particular ambiance, with numerous stores, restaurants, theatres and hotels nearby. The location and comfort of the building was an important factor in the relocation decision, as it will allow Accenture to attract more easily new employees.
